Ultimately, FSBO sellers don’t “save” the percentage. Rather, they struggle to earn the commission by simply doing the agent’s task. In doing this, they invest their money in addition to time to conduct, as best they will, the assignments of an agent. Those jobs include revealing the home by way of marketing, offering the home to prospective buyers, developing a sense of buyer emergency in order to make prompt an offer, making arrangement for home inspections, controlling qualification checks with the lender, supervising maintenance, and facilitating the closing of the deal.
